The Internet As The Communication Of The Future

The Internet As The Communication Of The Future

The Internet has brought great changes in society over the last decade. It has proven to be a remarkable communication infrastructure that adapts very quickly to user needs. The Internet has changed communication habits and redefines the media sector. The Internet revolution is still going on. In the coming years, the Internet will be faster due to the increasing number of high-speed connections and more affordable due to the expansion of low-cost wifi connections.

Since its inception, more and more computers (PCs) have been connected to the Internet:
in 1969 – 4 PCs
in 1972 – 23 PCs
in 1984 – over 1000 PCs
today – billions of PCs.

More and more people are using the Internet. Through it, we can communicate, discuss, learn, search and download information, news, music and videos. It allows you to shop, pay and have a constant overview of your own finances. Allows you to listen to the radio online or watch your favorite TV shows.

Mobility already plays an important role in the development of the Internet today and will be a priority in the future. Not so long ago, people could choose between a landline and a mobile phone. Mobile phones have won despite the fact that services have been more expensive. Clients simply paid extra for the opportunity to be reachable and able to communicate anywhere. Most future internet users are likely to be mobile. They will use the internet anytime and anywhere via wifi, telephones, satellite and other forms of connection.

IPv6 Internet Protocol
It is estimated that in the coming years (5-10) approximately 1 billion new users (IP addresses) will be added, mainly from Asia and Africa. And for this amount, the Internet today with the current approximately 4.3 billion (exactly 4,294,967,296) potential users will not be enough. However, the Internet is constantly evolvingand will increase the number of so-called Internet access points, which should be provided by the new version 6 of the Internet Protocol IPv6 (currently IPv4), which will support approximately 3.4x 1038 (340 sextillion) IP addresses. The new version is already partially functional today, but it is not very well supported by browsers yet. Both versions will work simultaneously and it is expected that the new version will gradually take over the first place. At the same time, it is assumed that the old version will be technically supported by about 2025 to allow enough time to “catch flies” of the new version.

The Internet originated and was initially the most widespread and innovated in the United States, but now Europe and Asia have taken the lead in projects focused on the future and development of the Internet. The best developers around the world are working on continuous improvements not only of the Internet, but also of other closely related technologies, such as search engines, social networks, mobile phones and related services.

Thanks to a broadband connection, the Internet allows us to make video calls and at the same time watch high-quality images (“HD”) during communication, and this area will be used extensively. Entrepreneurs, managers, bankers, politicians, etc. they will not have to travel, but will be able to use video conferencing for business meetings, saving time and money. Today, this technology is increasingly used. It’s completely different to just hear the voice of who you’re calling or even see him…

Communication platform of the future
We may not even realize it, but people are already connected to the Internet very often today (mobile phones, GPS navigation) and new forms of connection are emerging, which will surely pleasantly surprise us. Communication in the future will undoubtedly belong, in addition to video calls, also to social networks such as Facebook, Badoo, Spanish Hi5, etc. Even now we can transfer virtually to many places via the Internet, where we may not otherwise get in life. We will probably use Internet video calling to educate, shop, vote, visit offices, consult a doctor, close deals, simply video calls are likely to affect most human activities. Soon, thanks to the development of 3D video (three-dimensional) and 3D web applications, we will be transferred absolutely everywhere.

Nowadays, complex AI solutions (artificial artificial intelligence) are also used for the household, which are constantly being innovated. For example, Elektrolux has created an Internet-connected refrigerator that secures your food supply. It will send an email with the shopping list to the local supermarket and coordinate the appropriate time for their delivery with your schedule. Internet technology has penetrated our society so much that it is gradually becoming our next perception – the sixth sense.
